Bathroom Window

brushing my teeth
in a dark bathroom
by the light
falling through
the open door
it seems as if
I am looking
into my neighbors
lit bedroom
across the alley.

I wait quietly in the dark
for several minutes
until it comes to me
that I am watching
the reflection
of my own bedroom
in my bathroom window.
